Thermal Analysis software should take the three modes of heat transfer into account.  This is where the CFD excels because of it’s accurate description of the movement of fluids in convection.  EFD.Lab also models conduction and radiation efficiently.  Further this information can be fed into the Structural Analysis Software to determine stresses and deflections due to the resulting temperatures and heat fluxes.  This field brings the two packages together into a comprehensive analysis suite.
