A special globe control valve for the slurry application.
Its seat, shaft, plug and actuator are inclined at an angle of 45°
to reduce the obstruction of slurry in the flow path. It was found,
serendipitously, that valve wore better in the flow over case. Analysis
suggested why this was so.
